Review Nine: "The City of Future" by "e-designer" on DeviantArt

This piece of digitally rendered art brings up a few points about the future of human population. I'll start by commenting on the height of the skyscrapers. This portrays an idea that, in the future, the human population will grow to a point where there isn't enough space for the people to branch out.

The giant monorails and lack of streets indicate that traffic grew and eventually became a nightmare, forcing humanity to move to more efficient modes of transportation. Not only that, but it appears that a change like that was decent enough to keep the environment stable.

The clouds indicate that Earth still has a reliable source of water, due to the fact that water is required for evaporation.

This artist had the vision that all visions of the future aren't dystopias. Sure, there may be a lot going against the human race, but that doesn't mean that we're doomed to go extinct for a long time. It's refreshing to see a peacful envisioning of the future after so much negativity. I liked this rendition because it doesn't remind me that today's society is nothing but a ******************************************************************* without rational thinking and ******************************************************* misleading ***************************************** Sarah Palin ******************************* Campbell's Chunky Soups *************************************************************************** In a castle far away where no one can hear you *********************************************** Some assembly required.

  1. Mike, I like how you really looked into the image and picked out things and then explained why you think these things, such as the clouds were there.
